CAOIC was incorporated in the State of Alabama by Consuello J. Harper, its present President/CEO.The primary purpose of the organization is to provide training, job placement, and other necessary services to economically disadvantaged individuals who are unemployed, underemployed, unskilled, or semi-skilled.

"We Help Ourselves"

The founder of CAOIC established seven objectives which have served as its guiding light in expanding the program.  These objectives embody the mission of equipping untrained, unemployed, and/or underemployed men and women in Central Alabama with the skills to become fully productive members of their communities.  With this training they can realize the value of discipline, self-pride, self-confidence, and their own value to their fellowman..

We welcome you to the Central Alabama OIC web site. The purpose of this site is to inform and educate the public about the mission and work of OIC. We encourage you to spend time at our site to see what is possible when hard work, determination, and opportunity come together to build a better, more productive way of life for our students and trainees.

Consuello "Connie" Harper
